Conwy Employment Hub

Support / Training / Empowerment

The Conwy Employment Hub is a community driven ‘one-stop shop’ for employability in Conwy. It offers Welsh Government Employability programmes for anyone aged over 16 who is unemployed or working under 16 hours a week and helps them increase their skills, find – and keep – jobs, work experience placement and volunteer roles. The support includes:

Dedicated employment mentors and advisors

Personalised 1-2-1 mentoring, tailored to the individual

Professionally delivered training courses to build skills

Funding support to overcome barriers into training and employment, such as loan of Chromebooks, wifi dongles, travel expenses, ID documentation, childcare

Community and Employer engagement such as events. recruitment, work opportunities, work placements and Pathway courses

In-work support for up to 1 month once participant starts working

Referrals to other agencies or partner organisations where appropriate.

Cynnydd/Progress scheme for young people aged 16 – 24 who are at risk of being Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET) to provide them with the best possible guidance, care and hold to build a better future.
